Why Choose Finland?

Benefits of Choosing Finland

No Capital or Employee Quotas

There are no set requirements for minimum capital or employee numbers, giving entrepreneurs flexibility in how they structure their operations.

Family-Friendly Immigration

One of the key advantages is that you can bring your spouse and minor children, who can apply for permits based on family ties and enjoy many of the same benefits.

High Quality of Life

Finland consistently ranks among the top countries globally in terms of quality of life, featuring excellent healthcare, education, social stability, and nature, making it a great place to live and work.

Gateway to the European Market

Holding this permit enables you to use Finland as a strategic launchpad into the broader EU market, granting access to 27 countries and hundreds of millions of consumers.

Favorable Business Environment

Finland is known for its ease of doing business, strong R&D infrastructure, low bureaucracy, and high innovation and sustainability standards—making it ideal for new ventures.

Unrestricted right to work in Finland

If you hold a residence permit as an entrepreneur or start-up entrepreneur, your right to work is not limited (you can work in any field, including your own company).

Freedom to Work—Including Outside Your Startup

The permit allows you to focus on your startup without the need for a conventional work contract. Additionally, most holders can legally engage in other work activities if needed

A Powerhouse of Innovation and Stability

Finland offers a business environment built on openness, innovation, and stability. Ranked the second-best investment environment globally, it combines low taxes, reliable infrastructure, and strong societal collaboration

Finland boasts one of the most highly educated and digitally skilled populations in Europe, with a strong focus on ICT, engineering, and health tech disciplines

Social Welfare Access

Permit holders have access to public healthcare, education, and social benefits—in line with residents—though some benefits may require eligibility through social security systems like Kela.

The country’s welfare model provides entrepreneurs and their families with a safety net—covering healthcare, education, and other social services—reducing financial risk in early stages.
High quality of life, work-life balance, gender equality, and inclusivity add to Finland's attractiveness for founders and their families.
