Classes of CASP Licensesin Denmark

As of January 1, 2025, companies are required to comply with the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA) and Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), which establishes uniform standards across all EU countries, and which provides for the possibility of obtaining the following Classes of CASP Licenses:

– execution of orders on behalf of clients
– placing of crypto-assets
– providing transfer services for crypto-assets on behalf of clients
– reception and transmission of orders for crypto-assets on behalf of clients
– providing advice on crypto-assets; and/or
– providing portfolio management on crypto-assets

– Crypto-asset service provider authorised for any Class 1 service and:
– providing custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients
– exchange of crypto-assets for funds; and/or
– exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets

– Crypto-asset service provider authorised for any Class 2 service and:
– operation of a trading platform for crypto-assets
